Power supply manufacturer Altronix has launched a new hub capable of transmitting UTP video and RS-422/S485 data for up to 3000 ft on a single CAT-5E or CAT-6 cable.
The New York-based firm says HubWayLD will help bring the benefits of centralised transmission to larger and more complex video surveillance installations.
Company president Alan Forman said, “The new HubWayLD is a cost-effective solution for both new and existing video surveillance deployments that takes advantage of the inherent benefits associated with networked systems”.
The HubWayLD is available with eight or 16 video channels and comes in a 1U rack mount chassis that can be fitted into standard 19” EIA racks or onto wall and desk mounts.
