Twisted pair cable is one method for video transmission. It is common used in computer network. This type of cable provides balanced signal transmission (co-axial cable is unbalanced). As two wires inside the cable twisted together, they are even exposed to any sources of electrical or magnetic interference present. In theory, a twisted pair cable need not be screened. That is why they're called unshielded twisted pair (UTP). Therefore, it can run a longer distance.
