How XJ series DVR view the recordings

Model: XJ8104DH, XJ8108DH, XJ9004, XJ9104, XJ9216
To view the recording from computer, please copy the files (e.g. using USB flash drive) to computer and open the file using the bundled software player.
If you detach the HDD from DVR, you can use an external USB enclosure or plug the HDD to computer directly, also use the bundle player (the CD with the DVR), you can view.
There is no encryption or password for the recordings. Please try.
